Westchester Adult Soccer League (NAASA)
Section 3, Area T
The Westchester Adult Soccer League is part of NAASA (North American Adult Soccer Association, www.adultsoccer.org), with the vision to "Enrich the quality of life in our communities through adult soccer programs conducted in a safe, fair, and fun environment."
What started as pick up games in 2000; became "Westchester AYSO Amateur League (WAAL) region 5021", established 6/28/05; and turned into NAASA League NY-0021 on 9/1/11. The purpose of this Adult League is:
to create a sense of belonging to "a league of our own" for several groups of pickup games in different Westchester towns
to assure future access to field space as an organized league
to provide insurance certificates for the owners of those fields, and
to provide insurance coverage (and ID cards and uniforms as needed) for the players.
to provide both a source and practice opportunity for AYSO coaches, referees, parents and players over 18.
The minimum age is 18 (younger players can play in AYSO), but the bulk of the players is be 30+ and co-ed. We cover Westchester county (AYSO's Area 3T), so players can participate in games in multiple towns. Regions or towns are indentified as Divisions. For details contact the registrar.

Guidelines:
NAASA Standard League Guidelines
Membership year = September 1 - August 31 (Do not register before 8/31 for the next membership year, unless you are a registered player in the current membership year).
Registration fee (may differ per Division): minimum of $30, for insurance, team managment software (by Sports Logic), and support by the National Office.
Insurance: Participant Accident Insurance, which will pay in excess of available collectable primary insurance, their share of the usual and customary expenses for medically necessary covered medical Service(s) incurred by the insured resulting from a covered activity, up to the maximum benefit amount of $10,000 ($400 deductible; $1000 limit on physical therapy; Social Security numbers are required on the claim form). General Liability: $1,000,000 each occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Insurance certificates (e-certs) for the owners of the fields we play on. Sorry, no refunds.
Register on-line at Sports Logic and click on the Division you wish to register for. Sports Logic provides the following, which is included in the National fee: On-Line Registration, automatic payment of NAASA National Office fee, "League Manager", "Team Manager", "Schedule Manager", "Referee Manager", Player Cards, Accounting Manager, Events Calendar, 48 Hour Automated Reminders of games & events, Text Messages & Email System, Team Balancing & Creation, Game Editing & Master Score Entry. A separate Tournament Module, which enables Leagues to run tournaments, is available for $10 per team per tournament.
If you're volunteering as Administrator or Referee only, and do not play, select "Register as an Admin for League/Club" or "Register as an Official for League"; you do not have to pay a fee.
Scholarships are available, as well as a chance to make a contribution to the Scholarship-Fund
Any player who withdraws from the program prior to their first participation, may be entitled to a refund of such registration fee, as decided by the League Board on a case by case basis. Specific non-recoverable costs, such as the NAASA National Office fee, may be deducted from the refund.
